Natural Resources and Conservation
This program integrates biodiversity conservation, land use planning, water management, management of the natural heritage, and the long-term viability of several businesses, including forestry, mining, tourism, fishing, and agriculture. Natural resources are substances from the Earth used to support life and satiate human needs. An item from the natural world that people use is referred to as a natural resource. Natural resources include substances like stone, sand, metals, oil, coal, and gas. Other natural resources include air, sunlight, water, and soil. Natural resource preservation guarantees that all living things can utilize them both now and in the future. Natural resources are the source of everything a human being needs to survive, including the basic human needs: food, water, air, and shelter.
