Library Science

The comprehensive field of study known as library science covers the collection, organization, preservation, and transmission of information resources and the political economics of information. It incorporates elements from the applied sciences, the humanities, and the law. The contrast between an archive and a library is due to modern technology. Library science covers various topics, including how information resources are organized to serve different user groups and how users interact with technology and categorization systems. It also entails how people gather, evaluate, and use information both inside and outside of libraries as well as across cultural boundaries. The program also covers how people are trained and educated for careers in libraries, the moral principles that guide library service and organization, and the legal standing of libraries.
