The mission of the Russian Studies Program is to help students become fully fluent in modern spoken and written Russian and to introduce them to the rich and diverse literary and cultural traditions that help to make Russia the fascinatingly different and complicated nation it is today. Careers in public health, social work, psychology, education, anthropology, art history, tourism, hospitality management, communication, and space engineering are greatly enhanced by a degree in Russian Studies.
