Library and Information Science

Studying for a degree in Library Science teaches you how to manage books and other kinds of information, especially through the collection, preservation, and organization of books and other materials found in libraries. Most of the time, if you want to work as a professional librarian, you need a Master of Library Science. Librarians play a very important role in education in schools, colleges, and the communities where they live. They take care of books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, and computer resources, among other things. Students learn how to take care of the things that they use. They must be good at helping students and the general public find and use the library's resources in useful and creative ways.
