Ethnic Studies

The field of study known as "Ethnic Studies" examines the various racial and ethnic groups in the United States, delving deeply into their respective histories, experiences, cultures, and current challenges. The program acknowledges that race and racism are global issues, even as it primarily focuses on the lived experiences of colored people in the United States. Ethnic Studies, with its dedication to rigorous scholarship, enriches international conversations about human rights around the world.  The curriculum teaches students about our country's rich racial and ethnic diversity as well as indigenous and liberationist worldviews, the importance of family and community, the importance of art, and the importance of political, legal, and social activity. Those well-versed in Ethnic Studies may find employment opportunities in the legal field including Education, Concerning the General Population's Health, Aiding Society, Journalism, Strategies for Tribal Communities, Politics, Politics Around the World, and Activism in the Community.
