This is the general study of East Asian languages, including but not limited to the Sino-Tibetan, Japanese, and Korean languages. Instruction in philology, linguistics, dialects and pidgins, literature and their uses in commerce, science, and technology are all a part of this. The purpose of Asian Languages and Linguistics is to promote high-quality studies on the description and theoretical analysis of Asian languages.
