Computer Software and Media Applications

A course trains students to use authoring tools like HTML, XML, Javascript, and graphics programs to create, edit, and release (launch) text, image, and audio/video content for the World Wide Web. The curriculum focuses on the fundamentals of the Internet, web design, user interfaces, vector tools, special effects, interactive and multimedia components, search engines, navigation, morphing, e-commerce, and emerging web technologies. Programs in computer science and media applications train students to use software and hardware to design, edit, and publish digital products; build and manage databases to link data; oversee the security of computer systems and networks; and administer servers and web pages.
