The study of applied mathematics links mathematical ideas and methods to numerous branches of science and engineering. The goal of applied mathematical research is to create new and useful mathematics that is motivated and inspired by applications to the physical world, in addition to applying existing mathematical tools and insights to solve scientific issues. Applied mathematics has evolved from its traditional form with the advent of new computational technology, assuming an even bigger significance and a new energy.
