Writers and Authors
Career Snapshot
Every day, authors and editors produce an astounding amount of words. Newspapers, periodicals, and books are only a few examples. There are also catalogues in your inbox, words on everything from aspirin bottles to cereal boxes, and words in instruction guides and written forms, not to mention those in internet web pages.
However, regardless of where the writing appears, an editor most likely determined what was required, allocated the work to a writer, and later fine-tuned the writer's material. Writing and editing employment are available in practically every industry and at all levels of government.
The more extensive and in-depth your education and experience, the better. The most significant requirement is an ability to communicate effectively, whether on paper, film, or electronic medium. Writing and editing can be incredibly pleasant and rewarding careers if you have the talent.
