ABOUT RECREATION WORKER CAREERS

If you've ever been on a community softball team or taken an aerobics class, you've most likely encountered recreation professionals who planned, organised, and directed these activities. Their role is to ensure that you may enjoy leisure activities such as water sports or arts and crafts in a safe and enjoyable setting.

Local playgrounds, recreation parks, community centres, health clubs, camps, and most tourist attractions are supervised by recreation staff. The job can be varied and fun because the types of programmes available are only limited by the recreation worker's ingenuity and the public's enthusiasm.

If you enjoy working with the public, leading programmes, and enabling others to share mutual interests and learn new things, this could be a rewarding career path for you.
