ABOUT REAL ESTATE SALES AGENT CAREERS

Buying or selling a home is the most significant financial transaction in most people's life, and real estate sales agents are closely involved in all aspects of the transaction. Although some agents specialise in commercial and industrial property, the great majority work in the residential market, usually in conjunction with a licenced real estate broker.

While the agent sells the property, the broker provides office space and support services. The six to seven percent commission on the selling of the residence was split between the two. As a result, many real estate salespeople can make a good livelihood by selling a few residences every year. However, there is fierce competition, and most realtors must accommodate potential buyers' schedules by showing homes at odd hours. Weekend 'open houses' may also be part of the work.

Of course, selling real estate is about more than just money. It's also about people's hopes and dreams. Few things are more satisfying than connecting the right family with the perfect house, knowing they'll transform it into a true home.
