ABOUT GAMBLING CAGE WORKER CAREERS

A casino has many different types of games, but they all have one thing in common: money. The casino cage cashier's role is to exchange cash for the chips used to play, and vice versa. Cage cashiers not only count money, but they also act as a sort of in-house financial office. They provide credit lines to consumers as ordered by their managers and maintain track of cash entering the cage area from various sources.

They frequently undertake rudimentary accounting chores, such as tallying all cash and credit slips to ensure that everything adds up at the conclusion of a shift. This work requires a sharp mind for counting and keeping track of money. Honesty and the capacity to remain cool in a busy, often hectic workplace are also important. For your own safety, you're frequently behind bars or behind bulletproof glass.

Experience as a cahier in another high-pressure establishment is advantageous because you must work swiftly and meticulously. It's an entry-level position with a little more than the minimum wage, but there's a clear route to cage manager, cage cashier supervisor, or lead cashier roles.
