ABOUT ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST AND TECHNICIAN CAREERS

Almost everything we do has an environmental impact. Environmental engineers are responsible for measuring that impact. They employ their engineering expertise to evaluate the impact of potential or present human activities, ranging from off-road recreational vehicle use to housing constructions. They also aim to protect natural resources and reduce pollution.

They are also concerned with recycling, trash disposal, and public health. Many environmental engineers operate as consultants, assisting their customers with regulatory compliance and hazardous waste cleaning activities. Environmental engineers often have a four-year education. Their expertise determines how much training they require and where they receive it.

Their specialisation also influences whether they work indoors or outdoors, as well as how much paperwork they must do. Environmental engineering is a vocation that blends practicality with creativity, as both are required to solve environmental problems. When this job is done well, the earth obtains some protection so that future generations might enjoy its abundance as well.
