ABOUT DENTAL ASSISTANT CAREERS

Dental assistants undertake a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory activities to help keep a dental clinic running smoothly. It is critical to distinguish dental assistants from dental hygienists, who are licenced to undertake a broader range of clinical responsibilities.

Dental assistants must be organised and capable of doing multiple tasks at once. These responsibilities can range from cleaning devices to assisting dentists with examinations and treatments. If you want to work in this field, you should enjoy dealing with and talking to people. You should enjoy making patients feel at ease before or during treatment procedures, as well as educating people about appropriate dental health care.

Although dental assistants may face hazards such as handling radiography equipment or being exposed to infectious diseases, these risks are reduced when proper safety protocols are followed. In general, dental assistants work in a secure setting where they can make a positive contribution to the area of dentistry.
