Cafeterias and dining halls are typically crowded areas. Diners anticipate that these public places will be nice and clean. Dining room and cafeteria attendants, as well as bartender helpers, are the men and women who keep everything running smoothly. By adorning tables, they set the tone for a pleasurable eating experience. They inspect the cleanliness of the tables as well as the dishes, cutlery, and glasses. 

Attendants assist waiters and bartenders in serving food and beverages as needed. Attendants in cafeterias may assist customers by taking trays to tables and bringing refreshments.
