Corporations and organizations in the Science and Technology industries are working to incorporate underrepresented voices in STEM sectors to diversify their workforces. As a result, scholarships have been established to help women in the STEM fields.
About twenty firms sponsor women in STEM, but outlined below are just several of them.
1. The Science Ambassador Scholarship

4. Women in Aviation Scholarships
Women in Aviation offers a variety of scholarships for students who want to pursue pilot training. The amount provided varies, but the typical fund is about $4,000. They honor historical female pioneers who paved the door for women in aviation and other industries. To be eligible, one must submit two recommendation letters, a resume, and a 500-word essay describing your goals and interests in aviation and how a scholarship will benefit one.
5. United Negro College Fund (UNCF) STEM Scholars Program
UNCF Scholar Program is a tier-based tuition grant that caters for African American high school schoolgirls wishing to major in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). In the first- and second academic years, the scholarship offers the assistance of up to $2,500 and up to $5,000 for junior and senior academic years. In addition, there is $5,000 for a pre-approved internship in the STEM fields.
6. Virginia Heinlein Memorial Scholarship
Lastly, the Virginia "Ginny" Heinlein Memorial Scholarship, also called the Robert A. and Virginia (Ginny) Heinlein Endowed Scholarships, is awarded to women majoring in math, engineering, and science studies.
The winner of this prestigious STEM $2,500 prize for women is chosen through an essay competition that focuses on concepts and themes found in Virginia Heinlein's husband's writings. The applicant should also be a full-time female undergraduate student at an accredited institution pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree.
